Dec. 23, 2009  - Official Event Photos from the 2009 Daytona Beach Dream Cruise were added to this web site Dec. 20th so everyone can now see the wide variety of special cars & trucks that participated in the event. When viewing these images, keep in mind that many vehicles  were seen at the numerous Dream Cruise venues throughout the weekend that did not come to check-in Sat. and get their official photo shot. This is part of the uniqueness of the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise. Even though we encouraged people to bring their collector cars & trucks to 2009's check-in to get their free official photo and other items, we allowed people to do as they desired and go where they wanted, when they wanted, affording them the opportunity to do many fun things without requiring them to check-in. Enjoy as many photos on this site as you wish.

Nov. 23, 2009  - The Daytona Beach Dream Cruise in its second year grew more than 20 percent to include nearly 1,500 participating special vehicles for 2009.

This multifaceted event, totally free for all attendees and participants, featured a number of different activities at various venues throughout our area Fri, Sat. & Sun., Oct. 23, 24 & 25. We began Friday with welcoming gatherings as people rolled into town, and then really kicked off in grand style that afternoon as we brought special cars into the Bandshell and OceanfrontPark for a display in conjunction with the City of Daytona Beach's 'Bandshell Live' free concert that night. The band 'Steam' was fantastic and we showed a terrific film of historic beach racing.

Learning from last year's big inaugural event, we streamlined procedures and were able to efficiently handle greater numbers of special vehicles at the Volusia Mall check-in Saturday where we shot our unique event photos. Lots of participants displayed their vehicles at a number of venues throughout our area at various times that day and night including two big informal gatherings and two other popular judged shows with awards. Late afternoon, many headed to The Aquarium Restaurant & Nightclub at the Halifax Harbor Park to be ready for that night's well-attended world premiere of the never before seen hot rod film 'Deuce of Spades'.  Sunday, many returned to the same venue for an informal display of cars with drawings for lots of significant door prizes including a Royal Caribbean 4 night cruise to the Bahams. Ten lucky attendees each won $100.00 cash and five people won gift certificates from NPD.

There will soon be over 2,500 photos and 10 videos from 2009's event for people to enjoy on the site seen by clicking here.

Oct. 10, 2009 - An additional gathering on Fri. Oct. 23rd, from noon to 5:00 p.m. has just been added to the event schedule. Speed Park Motosports and Hooters, with large adjacent parking lots at the intersection of Int'l Speedway Blvd. and Fentress Blvd., will be a great place to meet when cruisers arrive in town. Combined with that afternoon's open house at nearby Raabe Racing, this will be a good way to spend the afternoon before heading to the Bandshell for the night's vehicle display and terrific entertainment.

Sept. 25, 2009 - The City of Daytona Beach granted our request today to use an optimal access road for cars to be brought into the Bandshell for the Fri. night Oct. 23rd vehicle display, musical entertainment including the terrific band "Steam" and fabulous film of the 1957 convertible race on the sands of our Daytona Beach area. This enabled us today to finalize the interactive map and add it to several pages of this web site. You'll find this map at the bottom of this page as well as the bottom of the Directions page. When you click on the Schedule button, you'll see the map above the detailed text description of each activity. The map shows where the wide variety of fun free activities are held during the three days and two nights of this event.
