A terrific gathering of car & truck enthusiasts and special vehicles on Sun., Oct. 28th at Blue Grotto highlighted the 2012 event after surprisingly large numbers of participants braved extremely windy conditions Fri. & Sat., Oct 26th & 27th. Hurricane Sandy stirred up impressive wave height in the Atlantic Ocean making 2012's Official Keepsake Photos shot Fri. & Sat. really special. A detailed description of times and locations for 2013's event activities is shown by clicking on the Schedule button above. The paragraph below gives a general summary of happenings Fri., Sat. & Sun., Oct. 25-26-27, 2013:

This year's event kicks off on Friday & Saturday, Oct. 25th, 2013 when there'll be lots of activities including open houses at automotive businesses, check-in and shooting of Official Keepsake Photo, gatherings in the vicinity of the LaPlaya Resort at 2500 N. Atlantic Avenue (A1A) in Daytona Beach, cruising, and a big gathering in with cars displayed on the grass in beautiful Riverfront Park adjacent along Beach Street in downtown Daytona Beach. Friday evening, there'll be a terrific movie on a big screen in the park that you can even view while sitting in you collector vehicle, drive-in style. Some of Saturday's details are still being arranged as of this June 4th update. Saturday, beginning in mid-afternoon and running until late that night, there will be great things to do in Ponce Inlet including the always popular Sock Hop at Down the Hatch Seafood Company On Sunday, you can be part of the big gathering at Blue Grotto in downtown Daytona Beach, at the Halifax Harbor Marina, for a huge car display in a great setting where ten lucky attendees will each win $100 cash.

The Schedule page of this web site has on June 1, 2013 been updated to reflect exciting activities that will take place Oct. 25-27, 2013 during the 6th Annual Daytona Beach Dream Cruise. There is still uncertainty regarding availability of the Bermuda House Hotel for check-in and shooting of Official Keepsake Photos on Fri. & Sat., Oct. 25 & 26 but a fall back plan is being developed to potentially use alternate venues.

It's Big, It's Fun & It's Free - The Daytona Beach Dream Cruise was held for the 5th time in 2012. The pictures to the right are samples of 2011's Official Keepsake Photos shot with the beach & ocean in the background behind the Bermuda House Hotel, immediately north of the LaPlaya Resort on N. Atlantic Av. (A1A). You can see all Official Keepsake Photos of every year of the event and other photos shot each year by clicking on "Photos" button at the top of this page then clicking on the year of the photos you want to view. Click Here for 2011 Daytona Beach Dream Cruise Photos Including Over 1,000 Shot by Attendees

Check-in & photo-shooting for 2011 was done both Fri. & Sat. at the Bermuda House Hotel, 2560 N. Atlantic Ave (A1A), immediately north of the LaPlaya Resort. Official Keepsake Photos for 2011, made possible by NAPA Auto Parts, were shot with the Atlantic Ocean and beach visible behind each vehicle. These photos were mailed totally free to vehicle owners by mid-December. Other 2011 activities centered around this 2400 to 2700 block of A1A included great displays Fri. & Sat. of super cars across the street from the Bermuda House Hotel and LaPlaya Resort at Bellair Plaza, adjacent to Ruby Tuesday. Also in this area, Fri. night's great action-packed drag racing film was shown on the pool deck of the LaPlaya Resort. Cruising along A1A in front of the LaPlaya Resort was quite entertaining. Lots of enthusiasts enjoyed the sock hop at Down the Hatch in Ponce Inlet Sat. afternoon and evening and also Sat. night, at Inlet Harbor Restaurant in Ponce Inlet, a different film of drag racing highlights thrilled those in attendance. The final gathering of the 2011 Daytona Beach Dream Cruise was a great success Sun. morning and afternoon at Blue Grotto overlooking the Halifax Harbor Marina in downtown Daytona Beach. This grand finale was capped off by ten lucky people each winning $100 cash with their names drawn by Faith Granger, the creative dynamo behind the "Deuce of Spades" movie, who posed with the winners. A great time was had by lots of people at 2011's event.

2011 TV COVERAGE:
The Car Enthusiast Television Program "Muscle Car Workout" filmed again at the Daytona Beach Dream Cruise in 2011.

2011's FREE CAR MOVIES: Free car theme films were shown on Friday and Saturday nights, each beginning at 7:30 pm. There was a different film each night - both were shown for free on big outdoor screens -

Friday night at pool deck of LaPlaya Resort on A1A in Daytona Beach and

Saturday night at Inlet Harbor Restaurant & Marina in Ponce Inlet.

It was a real treat for many people who met Faith Granger & saw her "Deuce of Spades" '32 Ford hot rod on Sat. & Sun. at the 2011 Daytona Beach Dream Cruise.
